Thus, no tsunami alert was issued for Hawaii, which eventually recorded a one inch wave associated with the earthquake. *** Re: The last tsunami in the Indian Ocean was, I believe, the explosion of Krakatoa in 1883. At least the last "killer" tsunami. I tend to agree with you. The Aceh Tsunami was not predictable. The miserable way that George Bush responded certainly was.
