some have said that gains on it are taxed at the "collectibles" rate -- I don't see how that can be fair, but that's what they say.

I like buying coins -- in increments of less than $10k!!!

At least I did -- when I had a steady income ...

I think GLD is good way to effectively trade gold futures.

Ive gone both ways on it but in the end I think GLD is as good as any other vehicle to trade gold. The whole market is corrupt so there's no real safe way to play it <g.
