If the Democratic Party leadership has any brains (and they haven't demonstrated that so far) all they have to do is to say that they are strongly opposed to the Iraq war and sit back. The flawed PNAC project is already dead and it is a given that it will rot and rot and rot the next 4 years and stink to high heaven by then.

There are very few sure things in politics, but the debacle in Iraq is one.

The concept of the advisability of "nation building" has certainly been re-examined as it should have in light of 9/11......It would have made no sense to leave a vaccuum in Iraq when Saddam was gone.....
