I'm all for a national id card. esp if tied into national computer system to stop people from voting in more than one state in president elections. stop the street people and dead people from voting if no card. stop illegals from being round up to vote. We also need the system to deport all illegals who are found rather than just released again. national id card would also help locate wanted criminals if stopped or help in security screening vs today's patched up systems.

What do folks here think of a national ID card that would, among other things, help prevent voter fraud?

I have mine. It is called a United States Uniformed Service Identification Card.

With a commissioned officer's rank it can even be used as a passport in many countries including reentry to the US.
