People have got all excited about a relatively small event centred on Sumatra. A decent noocular war can kill swarms more than that in minutes. The UN members should be ranting and raving and dealing with the original purpose of the UN which is to save humanity from the scourge of war, which is looming while politicians preen themselves about how caring they are over those harmed by the tsunami. Helen Clark [NZ PM] is clueless. She just wants to be the next UN boss, but has no imagination to actually make things good, thinking big government, hordes of bureaucrats, rules, and LOTs of taxes is the way to run a railroad. So she is back from yet another foreign holiday, but has left again for another adventure in the political game-playing and posturing over the tsunami. This is insane to be in the 21st century with 19th century geopolitical megalomania still a major problem. Maybe those wonderfully anodyne CDMA phragmented photons will suffuse the fevered brains of those afflicted with megalomania and cause them to seek peace, light, harmony, happiness, health, prosperity, longevity, fun and love, instead of wartime glory which is gory at best, hideously obscene purposeless carnage at worst. I suppose China and Russia figure the PNAC needs to be stopped. With Ukraine gone, Putin's stomping grounds are dwindling. Next to go will be the Kuril Islands. Where is the NUN when you need it? Helen Clark is clueless in Sumatra. The scourge of war is what the UN was made to prevent. Not fiddling with predictable natural disasters. I am watching this space. Mqurice
