Not really... I talked about wind power, laser pointers, Levy, Bush, the war, hypocrisy, port, starboard and a few other topics. Add the number posts where I brought up anything about politicians and their sexual escapades and divide it by up all the words in my posts this week and you have the figure. It's close, if not exactly equal to, zero. Yawn.

Jewel, I have never run into any Democrats who would defend William Kennedy Smith. Bringing him up does sort of cheapen the debate we are trying to have here about real issues affecting our country, though.

Teddy Kennedy is a more complex subject. I have never heard anyone defend his behavior at Chappaquiddick. I do think he is a dedicated public servant, whether you agree with his positions or not. I do think that most of the Kennedy family is honestly very energetic and idealistic about serving the public, particularly disadvantaged Americans, and really care about the direction America s headed.

I have a barrel of jokes about George Bush, and a whole bunch of websites about his alleged cocaine use and aborted girlfriend, but I don't really think they add much to the argument, either. I hope it doesn't disintegrate to that level.
