Thanks, I needed that. It prompted me to do a quick poke into EDGAR. Late 2003, I felt like Merix must feel now. Merix is a 10% owner, and was selling steadily in the $5 range over this past summer. Doh (well, 10% is a lot of shares, over 4 million still, so they can try to do better next time)! Meanwhile, the directors, every one of them, accept shares in lieu of fees. They are up 30% on that move. Earlier in 2004, an SVP sold at about these levels. He looks pretty smart, but he'd look smarter if he followed the directors' lead.

Moral: Watch the Form 4s. When the EMPLOYEES sell, join them. For that matter, when they buy, maybe join them. I'll have truly defeated my past demons when that happens.

Anyhow, it might pay to watch for those Form 4s over the next few days or months (partly a seasonality thing, it would appear). It may be the best clue to timing.

Meanwhile, NGEN looks ripe, and doesn't have quite the PR machine GERN does. Though both their patent attorneys are all very productive.

Of course, a deeper look into the insider selling/buying patterns may paint a different picture. I guess I'd better do that before I shoot from the hip again.

Cheers, Tuck
