There are some very simple solutions to privatized SS. One, you don't allow people to borrow out of it under any circumstances. Some 401K's are set up that way. I mean you can't draw a nickel. Second, you limit the investing options just like the Federal Employee plan.

Federal employees can invest in a 500 Index type fund. A fixed income index. A small cap index and an international index. That's it!

There doesn't have to be all of the choices we see in some 401K's. They make it simple for Federal employees, we can make it simple for those contributing to SS.
