Respect is due when earned. But since you disagree and you personally respect the UN at all times, that means you now support UNSC res. 1546, which authorizes what we are now trying to do in Iraq. That's good. Funny that the rest of your post doesn't sound like it.I do recall a UN spokesman say that the Iraqi regime had killed over 300,000 of Iraq's civilians and buried them in mass graves.. How about some proof? Or is Google master out of links? "Mr. Vieira de Mello, Secretary-General Kofi Annan's Special Representative, organized the workshop with Iraqis, international experts and members of the United States-run interim authority to determine how to attain justice for at least 300,000 people who disappeared in Saddam's detention centres and torture chambers."globalsecurity.org BTW, de Mello was murdered by the fascists you seem to be championing as the authentic voice of the Iraqi people.Even if true - what makes you think they were "resistance"? What I recall is most of Saddam's killing spree happened to full villages, killing elderly, women, children. In fact, I don't recall any organized resistance to Saddam that would be comparable to what your army is seeing these days. So how many car bombs were blown around Saddam's palaces? How many of his guards were killed by road bombs? How many towns like Falluja openly defied him and fought his army for their freedom? You know perfectly well the Kurds and Shiites both rebelled against Saddam. You're right - he was brutal - people like Human Rights Watch even use the term genocidal - in response. You seem to be using the success of those tactics to argue the US is worse than Saddam. Saddam was much more ruthless than the US first of all. Oh really? Like how. Killed people? Check. Humiliated people? Check. Used Iraq's money to get richer? Check. Comparing the US to Saddam is pretty pathetic. You know this, I think. And as for using Iraq's money to get richer - where do you get off accusing the US of this? You think pig Latin makes your posts more credible? Ipso facto isn't pig latin. It is a perfectly normal ordinary phrase. is Moqtada al-Sadr NOT a Shiite leader there??? Yes, but he is not resisting any longer.
