Well, in case you've been keeping track, I've never said that gays are "just as well off" without the ability to marry each other. I know that. I thought I was clear in my reference to Sowell. You and were both bringing the discussion back to its origins. My original "why marry?" was a reaction to the Sowell column. It was Sowell that triggered the discussion and it was Sowell I was rebutting based on your contribution. My "finis" was intended to convey the closing of the Sowell loop.
