<Bush acted on available intelligence> Bush did not have a shred of evidence of WMDs in Iraq -- not a shred -- and the reason he had no evidence was there were no WMDs. Bush did not even have a fig leaf -- nothing. The UN had something -- but you brushed that aside as irrelevant. It was never a matter of the US needing UN approval -- but it was ALWAYS a matter of the UN deciding on UN actions. The US CANNOT legitimately decide for the UN. The UN did not cede that right to the US.
