I saw First Albany raised estimates for this quarter to $0.50 (consensus is $0.47). Next week is their big expo in San Francisco, and earnings on Wednesday after the close.

I think they will beat consensus, and might just beat First Albany's. Revenues will be important, also forward rev projections.

Taken together, I think there's a reasonably good chance of a significant upside surprise. Personally, I will probably hold through earnings, but if AAPL ramps up a lot over the next 3 sessions, I will probably take partial profits and place a fairly tight stop in case there's a "buy the rumor, sell the news" reaction. Instead, I hope AAPL trades down some between now and earnings, like they did in October:

On the above chart, look at the relative strength compared to the NDX. Also, note that AAPL is reaching levels it has not seen since early 2000 bubble days. I don't know if it is reaching all time highs yet or not.
