Your scones sound delicious! Probably more calorie-laden than cake too--scones are very rich to start with, and the candied lemon peel could only make them more so. Now all you need is a simple lemon glaze drizzled over them! And some clotted cream and strawberry preserves, perhaps!

I don't think anyone should buy heavy cream in half-gallon containers. Maybe a restaurant or cafe, but not any individual mortal.
