Hitler killed 6 million Jews. If a Tsunami killed 6 million Jews it would be tragic but not nearly as bad and event as the first where intent to kill caused it. In a nutshell that is the difference between most conservatives and myself. Stupidity and guilt are pretty close cousins. The only reasons for elevating intent is if the potential risk is greater for worse results. Hitler would have killed a lot more if he had not been stopped. When I check in at an airport terminal I'm amused at the fuss. A few box cutter armed terrorist won't succeed in taking over a plane anymore because now everyone that flies realizes what a suicide mission is. So end of problem. For free! Imagine that! No additional airport security is needed. When the farm bill comes to consider the plight of American tobacco growers, now any conservative has to know which side of right to come down on there...
