Assuming this is true, what was going on above the 78th floor? A huge jetliner does not penetrate and cause fire and destruction to just one floor...
In my opinion, the only surprise for me was the fact the towers remained standing with that tremendous damage for as long as they did. So even a slight weakening of the remaining structures could have precipitated their collapse. Even the fact the weight load was shifted around inside the structures after the tremendous impacts could have strained the remaining support in the buildings enough to eventually cause them to collapse. Eventually meaning any number of minutes, hours, or days...
