Hi...
First, its from another country...in this case Pakistan. Second, it is interesting to see what issues from the US they think important to report on...and just in general, a flavor of that area of the world.

When we visited Singapore several years ago, I found the news they received to be totally different than ours. CNN was actually interesting, and had news from all over the world. No where near as slanted as we receive here.

Also their paper, Singapore Strait Times, is excellent as well. Actual news, and not just opinion dressed up as news as we are often subject to here.

We loved and hated Singapore. Loved the people, the shopping, the things to see... Hated the oppressive weather. Went in September, which is cooler (they say), but it was 90-100 every day, with the same type humidity. There are simply no bugs. The dictatorship must shoot them all before they come within a mile of the shoreline. It is the cleanest place we've EVER been! Just to compare the airports, SFO was filthy to us when we returned. Singapore had people cleaning the brass rails at 2:30 AM when we arrived.
