Well, if you feel that way here is a story that ought to really PISS YOU OFF.
My father in law was a Philippine Scout mustering out as a MASTER SARGENT in 1946. He fought through the entire WWII in the Philippines from Bataan to Luzon when McArthur returned. The Philippine Scouts was a US ARMY unit headed directly by General McArthur and under his direct orders. By LAW he was ENTITLED to be a USA CITIZEN. While he was very patriotic and thankful toward the USA for our liberating the Philippines, he had no desire to move here and never applied for citizenship until later in his life when his only wish was to DIE a USA CITIZEN. I have in my possession ALL of his active duty file including his mustering out papers. This includes is ID number, his rank, his medals, his unit etc etc. I have the ORIGINALS. Well, 10 years ago I applied for his USA citizenship, NO ANSWER. This went on for YEARS and I kept applying. Once they had him fly to Manila and be interviewed and they said you will hear from us. HE NEVER DID.
Finally, after threatening to go to my Senator I got a call from a fellow in Guam who said he would help (he was head of the office their for immigration). I sent everything to him and NEVER HEARD BACK. I could go on, but this is getting long. Anyhow, on December 21,2004 my father in law DIED. He never had his dream fulfilled after all that he did for USA. I have since learned that the place where the US ARMY keeps all the records had a fire many years ago and conveniently they lost all the scouts records stored there, and wouldnt accept MY ORIGINALS. So far as I am concerned FUCK THE INS. jdn

I dont dispute that - like any person in uniform, they too risk their lives. My point was we oughta have funding for more, and that will help reduce the severity of the problem.
