Maimonides was a well known, and well respected rabbi, philosopher, and ethicist, 12th century. Cohen, a Jew, probably has more familiarity, but it's the sort of name you get high-brow credit for tossing into a conversation about ethics. Definitely too big a gun to bring to bear on poor old Lance Armstrong, a dumb jock with a big heart and a high profile who is basically doing his bit to raise money for cancer research. You saw Kerry wearing one of those bracelets during the campaign, surely. It made him look hip.
