But we were talking about dogs Yes, we were, and we disagree so I will leave it at that. (just reread that and didn't mean to be so abrupt but was rushing. I try not to get into extended stuff once I express an opinion. It's just too time-consuming for me and I am not a big google researcher type.)

Is a dead kid any less dead because the war was necessary than if not? Why aren't you a total pacifist if that is your argument? You claim to be a vegan, after all. Do kids deserve less consideration than pigs? Or dogs? Horses? Thousands of years of warfare using them. Elephants? Hannibal used them in the campaign (which, because of dirty nasty Roman cleverness, he lost) against the Romans. The Arabs have used camels for centuries. Have you protested to all the European powers, the Tunisians, and the Arabs about this? Why just the US? What of all those whaling nations? Few now; used to be many. Have you protested to at least Japan? I've been to Yucatan many times- -dozens. Hunting down obscure archaeological sites, some not known to archaeologist, many not known to the Mexican national archaeological authority. Many times I've come across Mayan men armed with old rifles- -hunting deer and turkey to feed their families. Yes, they have milpas- -slash-and-burn corn patches. But they can't gt enough food out od them to feed their families. What do you think? Should I have carried a 45 pistol with me and shot them dead to prevent them from killing those innocent animals?
