People on the left, deluded people, believed in communism. No one believed in Saddam's political system in that way. You are mistaken I think- but show me ANY link to someone who is making excuses for Saddam- I have seen nothing that looks like that. I have seen no one who thinks Saddam was innocent (or forgiven) because he hates the US, either. I read Moveon- and they aren't saying Saddam is innocent or forgiven. What they, and the left, are saying, is that the war was a mistake - a course of action pursued for faulty reasons (unless the administration was lying, and in that case pursued for false reasons), with a weak to non-existent game plan, and pursued to a conclusion that has great risks of being unfavorable to the US. It is because the left wants to decrease the numbers of people that see the US as an enemy that the left (or the left that I read) pursues its positions. I will await the links you will send with interest.
