Really portable programs should be executed on *any* PC without leaving traces, that is *no* installation.

I've been using for about 10 years an old version of MSworks (V2.0) that fits in a floppy, leaves some room for several spreadsheets, text documents and (small) databases and can run without leaving anything in the host PC.

from the U3 FAQ:
"These applications that are launched from the U3 device will work on any PC, wherever the user may be."

Now, as soon as i can get my hands over the API specifications...
