Sharon is no saint. I think he's a nasty, tough bastard. I'm not sure I wouldn't be the same if my people were being blown up but he isn't helping himself or his people.

Wrong. After Rabin, there were 3 Israeli governments BEFORE Sharon. Two of those governments were Liberal - Peres and Barak. If I remember correctly, those Liberal Governments collapsed because Israeli moves toward peace, by Barak and Peres, were returned by increased levels of Palestinian terrorism.
