I found Gore irrelevant and had no problem with a Bush win -- he deserved a chance to show what he could do and many in the country who are not on the right took a wait and see attitude. Kerry was just another political animal -- the Democrats showed themselves to be pathetic and calculating (miscalculating actually) when they gave Congressional support to the Bush war in hopes of keeping it from being an issue that would cost them at the midterm polls. They were neither left nor right -- they were again, irrelevant. Bush et al stand for something -- the Democrats have themselves to blame for failing to stand up to Bush more directly.
