To me, evangelicals seem really pagan in their style of worship and devotion. Sort of like santeria, without the dead animals. No offense meant towards either of these religions--I just don't understand them and they seem very foreign to me. While the rise of fundamentalism is alarming, I am not sure that the subsequent more powerful rise of evangelicism reassures me, either. Perhaps I should retire to Newgrange, and worship the sun--a nature religion I can at least understand!
