Let the melting begin! Less ice cpa means more water on the Shara desert. It will be wonderful! We lose a few Km2 of beaches and islands. We will gain hinterland. Sahara will blossom. Kalahari and the whole belt of deserts will be retreating.

Imagine the potential for agriculture in the Russia and Northern Canada. Imagine the savings on burning fossil fuels for heating the whole N. hemisphere, where most of the land mass is.

We have had that condition before. 6.000 years ago we had a one degree warmer earth.

Agreed with all. Ice floating in the water won't raise sea level, because mass stays the same.
