Alighieri,

I'm torn over the idea of indefinite detention. One idea I've toyed with is the idea that if one is an American citizen, then he deserves to avail himself of our courts. But if he is a foreigner, then he doesn't have a right to American courts. However, we can prosecute a foreigner in an American court if they have broken an American law on U.S. soil. In addition, we need to place limits on how long we can hold a foreigner, but then eventually we need to send him back to his home country for prosecution, if we can't prosecute him under American laws.
