fresc, actually, most rural parts of the United States have a scarcity of physicians, particularly specialists. Nevertheless, transportation being what it is, it is not too difficult for the most rural dwellers to get to the big cities to see the physicians they need to see. - Holly

US Social Security predates that. It is on the verge of failure. The Soviet Union was around for 72 years. Was it a great success?
