Harmless group bonding is one thing but I think any group of more than 3-5 dissolves into subdivision of 3-5, etc. Groups of 20 tend to form 3-5 groups of 3-5, each with 3-5 members each. One of nature's fractals. Unfortunately, not all of those subgroups will be equally able, nor will what they produce, sell, buy or do be of equal merit.

I do appreciate that I can eat a consistent diet produced by farmer Bob who grows the same old thing every year
