You have missed the point. You aren't going to know for sure you have a terrorist until after the fact. You will inevitably torture some innocents on your quest to torture the guilty. You may want to live that way- but our founding fathers were reacting against the star chamber. I realize you may not consider our protections that important anymore, because your safety is more important. I will never agree with that, since I do not consider your safety, or mine, important enough to overturn our constitutional protections. What is the risk of an accidental firing of a nuclear missile? Who are these missiles pointing towards? Who should be more scared? >I agree in principle but if you watch 24, most americans (including moi) will opt for taking risks with our principles, rather than with our safety in extreme circumstances. I know we are at war. I was there on 9/11. I know how it feels to be bombed from the air. Those who werent there need to imagine>
