Fair enough but be careful where you go. Stay away from the cities. If you lived in a target zone and were more mature in your view, you would understand that a balanced approach is called for. I am not for detaining and beating every arab i run into. All i want is some leeway for our agents in a time of national peril. You say we will support different candidates and I say lets protect the process and make sure that we continue to live in a country where elections can be held. Iraq may be the template for another reality--one in which 95% of the folks want democracy and 5% using terror kill the dream. But good luck anyway. mike

Have you by any chance read this?

A certain messiness in media is OK, in my view, so I agree with you to some extent, but the more read and distributed the particular outlet is, the higher the standards for accuracy should be. It is clear that CBS acted like a cheap British tabloid with respect to the Bush ANG story in a bare-knuckled attempt to influence the election. The principals got their comeuppance, which is at it should be.

The messiness and freedom to which you refer was wholly on the part of the conservative bloggers who blew the whistle on this nefarious episode.
