The Bill of Rights is a warning, one that is as relevant today as it was 200 years ago. It is a list of the primary assets the enemies of freedom will attack and which must be defended at all cost.

I agree with that. (Surely you know by now that I love liberty every bit as much as you do, maybe more so.)

And we are free to pay attention or ignore that warning.

[Surely you've seen those polls that indicate that the majority of Americans wouldn't vote for the bill of rights were it teed up today. Sorry state of affairs. We should be promoting the freedom elements of the bill of rights as a beacon, not using parts of it as political leverage or fund raising.]
