Rupert, I think if you look you will see many long time investors, myself included, bailed out of AMD in the not so distant past. I think Mani called it best at $24.85, or was that Pravin?

I have found the hardest thing to do is to separate your emotions from your investment decision -- particularly if you have done all the research yourself and come to some sort of conclusion as to the future of a particular company. You are in a sense wedded to the stock. The only way I know of to protect yourself is to use stops that effectively take the decision out of your hands and then maintain the discipline to not cancel them. It's a hard thing, because greed usually wins out over fear. But after the disastrous hit my portfolio took in the post bubble crash, I vowed it would never happen again.

People were laughing at me when I was making comments about Hector's golden parachute and the fact that several officers were dumping 80% of their options...the company's management has lost all credibility and must profess an honest change by restructuring or simply sell the company for maximum value to maximize shareholder value...

Keith has been talking about CPG products, not flash. By the way, all that bitterness is bad for your health. :)
