I have never called the Irish frigid drunks. Please stop putting words in my mouth. Besides having an Irish family, I would like to end up living in Ireland. I love all aspects of Irish culture, except the influence of the Catholic Church in the ways I think it has damaged the psyches of my own Catholic family and a lot of other Irish people.

Of course there are good and decent and well meaning Catholic priests, nuns and believers. However, entire books have been written about the subjects I mention in passing. I see no reason to defend my opinions to you. Perhaps you should take up your concerns about untrue, dogmatic statements with the writers of these books. I could provide a syllabus if you'd like to start reading them now.
