'Cursed Packer Hat' On eBay
Seller Wants Someone To Buy, Destroy Hat

cgi.ebay.com

A well-meaning Packer fan says he may be to blame for Sunday's loss against the Vikings.

Someone is selling a Green Bay Packers hat, which he says is cursed, on eBay (item No. 5156051654).

"This is the cursed hat that ended the Packers playoff run three years straight," the seller's ad reads. "I was unaware of the powers of this hat until this year. This hat was given to me three seasons ago. I put it away for special playoff use being told it was an enchanted hat that would help the Pack win."

The seller says he never wore the hat, except during the past three playoffs, which were losing efforts by the Packers and disappointing performances by Brett Favre.

"I was then told this year by the person that gave it to me that the hat is cursed," the seller's ad reads. "I should have never accepted a hat from a Tampa Fan. This hat cannot be worn during a Packers' playoff game, it insures a loss. I would simply destroy it myself but I was told that if I did so it would cement the curse."

The seller hopes to sell the hat via eBay to someone who will destroy the hat. He says destroying the hat is the only way the curse can be lifted.

"Please do not allow this hat to fall in the wrong person's hands, it can be dangerous to us Packer fans," the ad reads.
