phx.corporate-ir.net

DHI net orders for Dec Qtr.

It is better than I expected.

DHI is a very good indicator for nationwide housing health because they are very geographically diversified.

The score so far this year:

HOV good.
DHI pretty good.
WLS pretty bad.
MDC pretty bad.

I suppose a housing bear can claim that at least they are not screaming record record record no more.

Based on DHI release today, I don't see how the current estimate of $.92 can be reasonable. Expect them to beat by a whole bunch again later this month.
