Hope is good and all that. But as I understand it, the January elections aren't actually going to even form a government, they're going to elect a parliament to write a constitution. A real government won't be in place for another year.

I imagine the elections will be presented as another in a long line of tipping/turning points. There's been many. At this point , skepticism seems warranted.
