I'm probably atypical, but it always takes me 6-7 months to get all the money spent on gift cards that I get -- it's not that I get so much -- I just use them for stuff I need as I need the stuff.

No I suggest many already took advantage of discounts and spent a big chunk of coupons therefore last week of 2004 showed higher sales than usual - that is just my 2 cents
