Puts are pretty expensive. I tend to be a naked call writer (have pocketed three months worth on GOOG, am now down a little on the fourth), or reluctant straight shorter. Maybe at this point because of the downside, a straight short makes most sense, or an in the money call write. Here's a safer, cheaper put buy, only 2.60-2.65 for Feb 70s, good overvalued market surrogate play, bought some yesterday:
