No it's not. In fact when the echo boomers come into their prime earning years, you would probably lower the FICA rate.

Hell, I agree with a pay as you go government. You want a war, fully fund this years cost with this years taxes. If it's not important enough for the citizens to pay for, it's not important enough to do.

SS is one of the only programs, maybe the only program, that is running a surplus. There are real fiscal crisis wrt government spending, SS ain't one of them.
