Given your preferences, I thought perhaps you disagreed with the report and were ready to defend CBS and Rather, which you are to a degree since your suggestion that the story was rushed is definitely not what prompted the firings and Rather's retirement--that's the bowdlerized, sanitized version, and there is a lot more to the story than that.

Probably best to drop the subject, this is a foreign affairs spot.
