Welll, the report also does say that Mapes had in her possession evidence that W volunteered for Vietnam, which she withheld from Rather, so I'm not sure Imus's conclusions are correct.

I really don't think anyone can accurately unwind such an old and involved story, so I have not commented on the merits of it since any commentary is unlikely to be accurate.

But here's a heck of a story, if true. Since it is Debka on the US's future actions, I would take it with a ton of salt: US to take military action against Syria in Feb.

Papa Bush denies it, and I believe him. I think if had pulled any strings, he'd just keep quiet about it now.
