OBL is also of the Saud family tribe. People can be born in Saudi Arabia and live their whole lives there, without ever getting Saudi Arabian citizenship. The tribal, ethnic, fundamentalist loyalties are super strong in the whole region. This will have more to do with how people vote in Iraq than political ideology ... at least for a generation or so. Of course, people here are not so different. OBL gains some credibility for his mission because of religious requirements to be of a certain genetic line. He intents to rule the world by installing a califate order.
