I think whatever happens militarily in Syria will not be on a grand scale. Punitive, yes, but not sufficiently so as to provoke anything large.

I think whatever happens in Syria, if it involves our Armed Forces, it will be a definite expansion of the war.
And that expansion will generate two new very complicated questions:
What is our exit strategy from Syria?
Where does the war expand to next.

Our information base from captives in Iraq must be expanding exponentially.
When 10, 20, or more Syrians are found to be trained at camp xxx in Syria before traveling to Iraq then we may or may not hear about a large explosion of unknown origin leveling that camp.

They probably dont have embedded reporters there( well not anymore, at least), so its up to Syria whether anything will be said in public about the now missing camp xxx.

Large explosian levels baby food plant in Western Syria, killing the occupants and 13 Security guards.
Toxic fumes are drifting into residential neighborhoods which are being evacuated. Syria rejects UN aid in investigating the incident which is preently being attributed to operator error.
