if you really think that there will never be a campaign by a possible liberal/socialistic administration that will attempt such a move, I don't question the possibility of some move, or perhaps the show of a move, for political purposes. I just have trouble believing it would get anywhere. Think about it Haqi. There are a bazillion guns out there. Set aside the second amendment for the purpose of argument. What are the chances that your liberal/socialistic administration could finance let alone get away with a house to house search of the whole country? Or that they'd find the guns if they did one> You'd find a safe place to hide yours, wouldn't you? Think about the costs and logistics of that. They'd have to hire a quarter of the country to conduct it. It's ridiculous. The voters wouldn't put up with it and there'd be a new administration pretty quick.
