BLAIRS BUY HOUSE NEAR MADONNA

British Prime Minister TONY BLAIR and his wife CHERIE have bought a house on London's exclusive Connaught Square.

The high profile plan to move in when Blair leaves office and will let the property until then. When they do take up residence they will be living just around the corner from MADONNA and STELLA McCARTNEY.

The Blairs spent a staggering $6.5 million (GBP3.5 million) on the four storey property which comes complete with its original Georgian features, including a wooden staircase.

I read that the Blair couple have had the bad luck in investment<g>. They sold their old house before the real estate boom in London for only 610,000 Pounds, and then put the money in stock market, when the stock market was bearish. And a couple of years later, their old house was sold by the following owner for 1.5 million Pounds. Talk about the bad luck.

And two years ago, his wife bought two small apartments, but used a bad agent, nearly made some scandal. And now the price of those 2 apartments all declined. And his wife was almost in tears. And now they bought this big house want to make some money by rental, but do not have the luck either.

Monitor Help
I want to add a second monitor to my computer

I am looking at a multiple alternatives

Princeton senergy 914
pcmag.com

HP L1955
pcmag.com

The latter was editor's choice about a year ago it seems

Video and gaming are NOT any priority at all.
Clear charts and text and photo images (still images) is paramount.

It does not have to be a flat panel, but it sure seems technology is headed that way.

In a regular CRT something like a NEC FP2141SB 22 inch monitor would seem to be OK

I am not sure if I would want anything to do with IBM
but I will toss this into the ring

Currently I have a IIyama VisionMaster 450 and have been pleased with it.

Here is an IIyama model I found
reviews.cnet.com

Not sure how to compare those for my needs.

Finally.....
1) what software/hardware do I need to run two monitors at once on one PC
2) I assume mixing FP and CRT is not a problem
3) I prefer to have a USB connection on my next monitor
4) As stated above Video and gaming are NOT any priority at all.
Clear charts and text and photo images (still images) is paramount.
5) Recommendations? - Looking for $600 monitor or less (more or less) I do not want to skimp if an extra $75 or so will get me something special but it I can save $200 on something very close to the top end I would like to do that too!

My PC is a DELL precision 330 workstation
Windows 2000 professional service pack 4
256MB RDRAM

THANKS!!!
