Was anything said on the CC re. flash margins or profitability? Were any Q's asked and were they answered or sidesteped?

I don't remember any specific question about Flash profitability but they did talk about margins. I didn't get to hear the whole thing. I'll try to listen to it tonight.

I had the impression most of folks have gotten the idea of intels gameplan already from AMD's warning the day before.

Paul let prices in flash look like dictate of market. Said "pricing tough for the bigger modules for handsets, partly covered by contracts, while pricing for smaller modules brutal".
Did not give any indication when he would expect any change of market conditions - but Andy said he could not predict if Comm will be back in the black in 2005, so it is easy to connect the nodes.

Flash had record units and flat revenues, and Comm losses declined. There was no comment given for the increase of "all other segment" losses increase of 250M unless I missed it.

This all did not come to any surprise to any of the analysts, so nobody did insist in flash.
