Before Tomkins, S&W was owned by Bangor Punta, a huge conglomerate. Then Bangor Punta was purchased by Lear Siegler in 1984. In 1986, Lear Siegler was purchased by Forstmann Little & Company.

SWB has a little game this morn... The markets look doa this morn.... Looks like productivity has hit a brick wall...
Not very good news..........

U.S. 4th-Qtr Productivity Rises at 0.8% Rate; Costs Rise 2.3%

Economists had expected productivity growth to slow only a touch to a 1.7 percent pace from the third quarter's 1.8 percent rate. They had forecast unit labor costs to rise at a 2 percent rate.

Those economic experts are right on top of things, as usual...
