re: Look at how pictures of the war are being prevented... not even of the coffins. What is the difference between a government controlled press and free press ? One doesn't get to read all the news that's free to print (or report )..
Remember Walter Winchell ?

It's hard to watch the network news these days. The Internet sometimes manages to present all sides, but usually from the extreme on each side. But people have to be pretty dedicated to use the Internet to search out both sides, and make an informed opinion. Most folks don't have the time (or desire) to do that.

The thing about the Bush admin is that they are the first in my memory that is willing to make totally misleading statements (and often outright lies), and then repeat them over and over. People make well thought out but complicated rebuttals, and the Bush admin doesn't debate the issues, it just repeats the talking point, over and over and over. Public debate by phoney sound bite, and the world is such a busy place that the BS sticks.

Watch the marketing on the Bush SS disaster plan, it will be a piece of work. These guys are terrible for the country, but they are certainly great marketers. They know their customers much better than the Dems.
