You're Talking Gulf Stream and I'm Talking Jet Stream.

You've drilled down briliantly and made of the Fed numbers something akin to a real time indicator of liquidity and withdrawal of liquidity. I tend to watch the human behavior more, and I think Washington has not yet lost the ability to push and frighten the forex markets.

But they need to be careful here. An ill-timed effort right here, for example, to push the USD back up in the face of horrific data would really send a "Begging the Question" signal to the forex complex. And when the forex boys smell blood you know their whole conception of the "trade" going forward changes, dramatically.

I watched the RBA make this mistake during the Asia Financial Crisis. The AUD had already fallen alot--then the RBA and the Gov signaled panic and they bought alot of AUD and they just got killed after attempting that.

But you know all this.
