Tim, I do not consider a weapon to be an assault weapon just because it is semi-automatic. Then we are in agreement. Hense my use of terms like "the ban of the so called assault weapons". I can understand why the NRA would not support a ban against semi-autos, and agree with their stand. Again agreement. What I don't think a citizen needs, is the Uzi type burp guns that just spray lead everywhere Maybe they don't need them but I'm not sure that not needing something should equal having it be illegal. For example I'm against drug prohibition even if few people need any of the major illegal drugs (maybe there is a benefit for some from marijuna but who needs cocaine or LSD?). Tim
